PROTECTION AND RECOVERY EFFORTS

As you know the Giant Panda is endangered, but there are still some efforts to save it. The Chinese government has a law against hunting, killing and bothering the Giant Pandas in any way. There is also a law against using their fur for clothing, which humans actually used to do! There are breeding stations set up across China in zoos to help the population of Pandas to grow. The service "WWF" has provided moniter and control equipment to watch over the Pandas. Thier government has also given workers 1.4 billion dollars in recustruction efforts for the Giant Pandas habitat after the earthquake in China.

What can we do to help you may ask? We can help by donating money to thier environmental organizations for them to create reserves for the Panda. By creating reserves for the Panda, it will protect them from poachers. We can also - without harming them, go not too far away from thier habitat and plant Bamboo. This way we`ll know the Pandas have plenty of Bamboo to spare and survive. Another way we can help is if we spread the word that Pandas are on the verge of extinction. That way people will be more aware that Pandas are endangered and we need to help them, respect thier habitat and leave them alone/let them be.
